Cardoso has 18 caps for the USMNT, but has yet to find the back of the net on the international stage. He made his debut in 2020 for the program, but had to withdraw from the recent November camp under Mauricio Pochettino due to a minor ankle injury. That followed the same issue that happened during the October camp with the U.S., meaning the midfielder has yet to debut for Mauricio Pochettino.
