Leeds United welcomed Marcelo Bielsa to Elland Road in the summer as their new manager in what was widely regarded as a major coup for the club.
The Argentine has managed at some of the biggest clubs and countries at points in his career and it appears as though things are going well for the Whites as well.
Bielsa has managed to put together a formula for the Championship giants that has seen them occupy a place in and around the summit of the table for the majority of the season.
In his efforts of taking them to the next level, he has turned Leeds into a genuine promotion contender as they look to make a long-awaited return to the Premier League.
However, his genius in getting them to the top and keeping them there has been helped by the resurgence of one of their players and a man that has become a star under Bielsa.
Mateusz Klich’s career at Elland Road had looked all but over last season when he struggled to get to grips with the demands of English football in his first couple of months, and he only featured sparingly for the club after October.
Thomas Christiansen sent the Poland international out on loan to FC Utrecht in January for six-months where he started to pick up form.
Since returning to the Whites, Klich has continued to be an impressive player and has become an important part of the team.
The 28-year-old has been a mainstay in the side this season, having netted five goals as well as providing a further five with the creativity he possesses in the 17 appearances he has made in the Championship.
Rated at £1.58million by Transfermarkt, his performances have not gone unnoticed as they have earned him a place in the national side for the first time in four years – and Bielsa’s genius is largely down to that.
