According to InterLive, Milan are eyeing a loan move for the 26-year-old with an option to buy. However, they will reportedly want United to pay a significant portion of his rumoured £250,000-a-week wages as they seek a long-term replacement for 36-year-old Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Mount joined United from Chelsea in 2023 for an initial £55 million ($69.7m) but since then he has played just 32 times and spent long periods on the sidelines through injury. He is currently out with a leg issue and rumours are growing that the Red Devils may cut their losses on the England international.
