The United forward has spoken of his desire to depart the club and seek a new challenge and it looks as if his time at Old Trafford is all-but-up. Rashford started brightly under Amorim and might have been starting to turn a corner, but that initial spark has been snuffed out. The England international has been left out of the squad for the last two games against Manchester City and Spurs and will not be returning anytime soon.

Amorim has selected a front three of Amad Diallo, Joshua Zirkzee and Bruno Fernandes ahead of Rashford and, with Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Rasmus Hojlund on the bench, the new Portuguese boss feels he no longer needs the want-away Rashford. It has been a difficult past 18 months for Rashford, struggling with form and injury, and it may be time for him to move on from his boyhood club. He has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia and other clubs in the Premier League, but it is unclear where he will end up.
DID YOU KNOW?
Rashford ranks 13th on the highest Manchester United goalscorers of all time, just one place behind Cristiano Ronaldo. He has scored 138 goals in 426 games for the club across all competitions, hitting a career best of 30 goals and nine assists in the 2022-23 season.

A move away from Old Trafford is an inevitability for Rashford. It is unclear whether this will be a permanent or loan switch in January but, if he is set on departing, Amorim will be eager to get him out of the squad. It is also uncertain how much United would demand for the services of Rashford or if the player would be willing to take a salary cut to join another Premier League side.
