According to Telefoot, Brazilian attacker Lucas Moura is only interested in leaving Paris Saint-Germain this month for Manchester United.
What’s the story?
The future of Lucas has been the subject of much speculation over the last couple of weeks, with Chelsea and Man United both said to be interested in the 25-year-old.
Lucas, who is valued at £34.2m by transfermarkt.co.uk, has only made five Ligue 1 appearances this season due to the form of the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.
It is understood that the Brazilian is interested in a move away from Paris this month, and according to Telefoot, he wants to link up with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
It is thought that Man United are considering a loan approach for Lucas, but PSG are believed to want a permanent deal as they look to bring some funds in following an expensive summer.
Mourinho wants an attacker, doesn’t he?
It is no secret that Mourinho wanted to sign Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic in the summer as he looked to bring a fourth new player to the club ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.
Perisic ultimately signed a new long-term contract at the San Siro, but it is understood that the Man United boss still wants to boost his squad with a wide player.
Marcus Rashford’s form has dropped in recent weeks, whilst Juan Mata has thrived centrally since being moved into the number 10 position, and the same can also be said for Jesse Lingard, who is in red-hot form at the moment.
There is a lack of out-and-out wingers in the Man United squad as things stand, and the arrival of Lucas would be a massive boost at this stage of the campaign.
The 25-year-old might have struggled for football this season, but he scored 18 times in 52 appearances for PSG last term, and still has plenty of time on his side when it comes to development.
