It does not take much for rival fans to grasp an opportunity to mock their enemies.
Arsenal supporters jumped right in on Thursday night when Tottenham Hotspur held a premiere for their documentary film ‘The Lane’, which celebrates the history of the club’s former stadium White Hart Lane.
Spurs waved goodbye to their home of 118 years at the end of last season, and have been playing their home games in the 2017-18 campaign at Wembley.
Next season, though, they are expected to move into a brand new state-of-the-art ground that is currently being built adjacent to White Hart Lane.
It was a moment of celebration last night when manager Mauricio Pochettino and former Tottenham players attended ‘The Lane’ premiere at BT Sport Studios in Olympic Park.
The club promoted the event on Twitter, which automatically invited Arsenal fans to poke fun.
Many ridiculed their North London rivals and reminded opposing fans of the Gunners’ past joys at White Hart Lane.
