The two people that most Newcastle United fans adore at the club are manager Rafael Benitez and captain Jamaal Lascelles.
So, when a piece of news emerged suggesting that the two have clashed, it is fair to say that some supporters went into panic mode.
The Magpies confirmed the first XI and bench to take on Chelsea one hour before kickoff on Sunday afternoon, and straight away it was noticeable that Lascelles was not in the squad.
The official club line was that the centre-back was not included in the setup due to an ankle injury.
However, according to Daily Mail journalist Craig Hope, Benitez snubbed Lascelles after the pair had a disagreement regarding formation for the visit of the Blues.
It is believed that the skipper wanted to be at the centre of a back three, but was placed on the right of the formation.
