United must progress through Thursday's semi-final second leg against Athletic Club, a tie they lead 3-0 after the first leg, to reach the final. If they win that, they would receive 50 medals and could choose to hand them to staff no longer at the club.

Ten Hag was in charge of United at the beginning of their campaign, overseeing three draws in the league stage of the competition before being replaced by Ruben Amorim. The club could choose to recognise his contribution by handing him one of their spares.
